Hey-Day (Uzo-Uwani) Farmers' Multi-purpose Co-operative Society Limited was established and duly registered on the 7th day of April, 1999 under section 8 (1) of the Eastern Nigeria Co-operative Society Law, the Co-operative Society Rules Cap 28 of the Revised Laws of Eastern Nigeria 1963, now Revised Laws of Enugu State of Nigeria 2004. It was recognized and duly registered on the 9th day of April, 1999 by the Federal Government of Nigeria under the then Family Economic Advancement Program (FEAP).
The purpose for which Hey-Day (Uzo-Uwani) Farmers' Multi-purpose Co-operative Society Limited was established include to carry on agri-businesses, encourage the adoption of better farming and industrial methods, as well as extension of farming activities. It also promotes self-help, mutual assistance and socioeconomic development through co-operative enterprise. In addition, it encourages thrift among members and the establishment of a fund from which members can access or be given loans for productive purposes.
