Nigerian Ports Authority And Nigerian Export Promotion Council- Expression Of Interest For The Certification Of Export Processing Terminals To Service Lagos Port Complex And Tin Can Island Port Complex

A. INTRODUCTION

The Nigerian Ports Authority in collaboration with the Nogerian Export Promotion Council(NEPC) hereby invites reputable and competent entities interested in establishing  Export Processing Terminals in lagos and Ogun State. The Export processing terminals will be one stop shops where all inspection, consolidation and stuffing of all export cargo shall be conducted in readiness for accessing the ports through the Eto e-call up platform for export.

The Nigerian Export Promotions Council’s proposed Domestic Export Warehouses (DEW) will be linked to the respective Export Processing Terminals for consequent access to the port through the Eto platform.

 

B. CRITERIA FOR CERTIFICATION AS AN EXPORT PROCESSING TERMINAL

I. Evidence of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) shall be provided.

ii. The facility shall obtain the Nigerian customs Service registration as a designated location for cargo inspection and shall have working spaces for the Nigerian Customs Service(NCS) and other inspection agency as deemed necessary.

iii. The facility shall have deployed appropriate IT infrastructure for linkage with the Eto  e-call up platform, the E-Customs and every other such electronic deployments by other inspection agencies.

iv. The facility shall have warehouse infrastructural facilities for stuffing and consolidation of cargo.

v. The facility shall deploy adequate cargo handling equipment capable of loading/offloading 20/40 foot containers

vi. The facility shall have a land size of a minimum of 10,000 square meters capable of accommodating 100 trucks and a warehouse facility

vii. The facility shall have installed a weigh bridge

viii. The floor of the facility shall be paved with a perimeter fence, an automated gate control with 24 hour electricity, water supply and adequate security

ix. The facility shall have installed a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and adequate illumination for night operation .

x. The facility shall have a food canteen and adequate conveniences

In addition to the above listed conditions the company is to attach its its Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three(3) years

 

C. SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST DOCUMENT

The expression of interest for the certification of export processing terminal and warehouse should be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed to the “Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority’ and clearly marked ” EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE CERTIFICATION OF EXPORT PROCESSING TERMINAL TO SERVICE LAGOS PORT COMPLEX AND TIN-CAN ISLAND PORT COMPLEX’ specifying PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 4152  all submissions must reach the Authority on or before Monday 24th May, 2021
