NEPC Achieves Resounding Success as Nigeria Shines as ‘Country of Honor’ at 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025
The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) is delighted to announce the monumental success of the Nigerian delegation at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th, 2025. Nigeria was prominently featured as the ‘Country of Honor’, marking a significant milestone in bilateral trade relations.
The delegation’s impactful participation was strategically executed under the visionary leadership of the Head of Delegation, Dr. Nonye Ayeni, Executive Director/CEO of NEPC, guided by her ambitious “Double of Export” campaign.

The Nigeria Pavilion served as a dynamic epicenter for trade and investment, hosting a robust delegation of over 20 Nigerian exporters.
- Business Forum & B2B Sessions: The accompanying Business Forum and dedicated business-to-business (B2B) sessions were exceptionally well-attended by high-profile Chinese investors, importers, and business leaders.
- Concrete Outcomes: These engagements culminated in a high volume of serious trade enquiries and the initiation of several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), positioning Nigerian non-oil products for significant penetration into the vast Chinese consumer market.

- Product Immersion: Live Zobo drink demonstrations offered attendees a cultural taste of Nigeria and successfully promoted the Hibiscus flower as a high-value agro-export to the Chinese food and beverage industry.
