NEPC Talent Export Hub To Increase Nigeria’s FX Earnings-Ayeni

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Services and Talent Export Hub will help enhance the country’s foreign exchange earnings in international trade, the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of NEPC, Nonye Ayeni has said.

Ayeni who disclosed this at the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Council and Terawork in Abuja on Thursday said the initiative is in line with the President Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda.

This initiated, she said, was conceptualized eight months ago. With the MoU signing ceremony, she said it was gladdening to note that the digital platform will streamline and further provide a marketplace for exporting different services and talents ranging from technologies, arts to the creative industry among others, thereby creating employment opportunities by leveraging the Global Value Chain (GVC).

Responding, the Managing Director of Terawork, Mr. Femi Taiwo said the partnership between the Council and Terawork was aimed at creating and managing the NSTEH platform with a view to connecting and showcasing vetted and proven Nigerian talents and service exporters across sectors like Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), the creative and entertainment industry, logistics, financial services, tourism, hospitality among others to the global markets.

“Our service exporters will be able to create impressive online portfolios to further promote their companies to the global market, leveraging technology, and enjoy the backing of the Government through NEPC. What that means is an endorsement that can boost service exporters’ opportunities to sell more to the global markets”, he added.

The platform, Taiwo pointed out will showcase Nigerian talent to potential recruiters globally to secure remote jobs, work, and earn in foreign currencies adding that the platform will be open to customers worldwide to explore, access, and engage our exporters and talents as the needed arises, without geographic barriers.
