HISTORY MADE AS 7,000MT OF COCOA LEAVES CALABAR PORT

Starlink Global & Ideal Limited on the 24th March, 2021 made a giant stride in the country’s export drive by exporting 7,000 Metric Tonnes of cocoa beans to Europe from the Calabar port…using the EcoMarine Terminal facilities.

The feat was made possible by the combined support from NEXIM, NPA, NEPC and EcoMarine Terminal Logistics.

The epoch making event is coming at a time when Nigeria’s no -oil export business has dwindled to an embarrassing ebb due to Coronavirus and other inhibiting factors. The move is seen as one that would help decongest the Lagos port, and inject economic and social live into the entire Southern region.

The memorable event was attended by ED/CEO of NEPC, the MD of NEXIM Mr. Abba Bello, the MD of NPA (represented) and the Governor of Cross River State…represented by Commissioner of Commerce Barr. Rosemary Archibong.
